BHA calls for freedom of speech in OIC countries

The British Humanist Association (BHA) has issued a statement at the 22nd regular session of the UN Human Rights Council, which calls for freedom of speech in the member states of the OIC (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation).

The International Humanist and Ethical Union has reminded the UN Human Rights Council of the need to protect the right to freedom of expression while taking steps to combat “hate speech”.
