Measure Three purports to protect religious freedom by preventing the government from “burdening” a person’s or religious organization’s religious liberty. AU soundly supports efforts to provide stronger protection for religious exercise. However, we are deeply concerned with Measure Three’s deceptive language and possible passage on June 12.
