Sorry James but with all due respect it sounds obvious to me that if I post on Mr Gonzalez wall the message is clearly for him. And if I typed in capital letters it's simply because this man has been harassing me for years from time to time and I am totally fed up with his game. I hope this time he got the message clear (he knows what I am talking about and who is "we") and that everybody may enjoy seeing his true nature, BAD ! Thus said, have a nice day James!

Napoleon and HItler never attacked the church. Oh and by the way..Hitler was a far right extremist. As for Stalin..tell me..if he so hated the church then exactly how did the Russian Orthodox church survive? You aren't defending the church. You're making the church look stupidly bad. And you can whine about "I'm being forced to live by your ideals" all you want but it is you that is trying to force others to live by your ideals. In economic life, free markets have both clear advantages and limists; government has essential responsibilities and limitations; voluntary groups have irreplaceable roles, but cannot subsitute for the proper working of the market and the just policies of the state. Society has a moral obligation, including governmental action where necessary, to assure opportunity, meet basic needs and pursue justice in economic life. That is from "A Catholic Framework for Economic Life" which was a statement by the US Catholic Bishops in 1996. I point out specifically that part about "including governmental action where necessary" to you, Ignacio. Because your statement that "The Government is the solution for the left" is quite curious. Because it means you think government has no part to play..that a proper Catholic shouldn't think the govenrment should be involved. The people of this country speak through the government..the government acts for us. So "government is the answer" isn't merely a thought process of "the left" it's the thought process of the Founding Fathers. And yet, Ignacio, that belief of yours is in direct opposition to the social teachings of the Catholic church. And yet you sit there and think you're being such a good Catholic and are defending the church. And yet you are the one that is wholesale ignoring what the Church itself teaches. That statement goes on to say "According to Pope John Paul the Second, the Catholic tradition calls for a "society of work, enterprise and participation" which "is not directed against the market, but demands that the market be appropriately contrllled by the forces of society and by the state to assure that the basic needs of the whole society are satisified." The quote of Pope John Paul the Second's is from Centesimus Annus, 35. Pope John Paul the Second also explicitly criticised the accumulation of mass wealth by any individual and deplored the idea that government has no responsibility to take care of its people and that the government should let the "free market" have total control with absolutely no restraints. So Ignacio, ,I have a question for you. If you consider yourself such a good Catholic then why in God's name are you so wholesale disobeying what the Catholic church teaches and what His Holiness Pope John Paul the Second taught?

You keep attacking the Catholic Church and I´ll keep defending the Catholic Church. You live your life and I will live mine. You raise your kids the way you want but do not force me to accept your ideals. The Government is the solution for the left. It is not new. What history has shown an attacking the Church is a way to attack our liberties. Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Napoleon are the few have done the same, in the name of their causes.
