		<description><![CDATA[I am concerned that too much can be made of this. It&#039;s merely a factoid. There is a huge difference between harmful discrimination and a tendency to wind up with close friends who are a lot like you. One is harmful, the other is simply a quirk of human nature that likely has roots in our tribal evolutionary past.  What I find especially bothersome is the last comment suggesting that university educators can attempt to re-engineer people&#039;s private relationships to a numerical value that is perceived as superior. Manipulation of people&#039;s private lives should simply not be in the job description.]]></description>
