Action Alert: “In God We Trust” motto to be reauthorized
A resolution was recently introduced in the House of Representatives that would reaffirm “In God We Trust” as the official motto of the United States and would support and encourage the public display of the national motto in all public buildings, public schools, and other government institutions. This resolution is currently in committee, and will come up for a vote tomorrow in the House. We need your help to ensure that it does not pass.
Stand with the American Humanist Association and urge your Representative to oppose the “In God We Trust” resolution right now.
House Continuing Resolution 13 (H. Con. Res. 13) was introduced in the House by Representative Randy Forbes (R-VA) on January 26th, and currently has 64 co-sponsors. The current motto of the United States, “In God We Trust”, weakens the wall of separation between church and state by declaring our national recognition of a deity. This motto is insensitive to the many non-religious Americans who object to government encouragement of religion and belief, and is opposed to our national tradition of secular governance.
Please take a moment to contact your Representatives and ask them to oppose the resolution. The American Humanist Association supports the wall of separation between church and state, and opposes any government action that violates the secular tradition found in our Constitution.
This bill is a momentous step backwards in regards to religious freedom. I’m asking you, as a supporter of humanism, to make a difference and take action right now.
In Science We Trust…
No, "Out Of Many, One" or "E Pluribus Unum."
In Stupidity Republicans Act
Will probably pass as 90% of the sheeple believe this rubbish
Well it might have an interesting side effect. The SCOTUS has pretty much danced around the phase on money claiming it's an insignificant motto that has no deep meaning. By pushing it this far, where it becomes a fundamental feature of government organizations, the court can no longer just ignore it. A constitutional challenge is much stronger if the phrase is embedded into government buildings and documents.
They might as well change the name America to Teabeckastan !

Some people are destined for destruction, they have eyes but still they can't see, they have nose but still they can't smell, they have a brain and mind but still they can't think. Look at fools who made Science, who made machines saying that there is no higher being who made this mystery EARTH and its inhabitants. The founders of USA trusted in God to make things work, now their sons and daughters are deciding to take a step further into destruction, they don't wanna trust in God no more. Be prepared, God is still God, he will do to all nations that do not believe and trust in him what he has been doing to such thousands of years back.
