Anti-gay Christian leader vacations with male prostitute

George Rekers hates homosexuals . . . Except when he hires them from Rentboy.com
A leading figure in the anti-gay Christian right was spotted returning from a 10-day vacation with a young man he hired from a gay escort website . . . to “carry his luggage”.
George Alan Reker is a Baptist minister. He also joined James Dobson in forming the anti-gay Family Research Council in 1983, testified as a witness in favor of Florida’s gay adoption ban, and has published books like Growing Up Straight: What Families Should Know About Homosexuality. He’s also a member of the board of the National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuality, a group actively promoting the debunked “ex-gay” programs. We mentioned one of their more questionable efforts recently, the American College of Pediatricians . . . Guess who’s a member?
So, no doubt Reker must be a True Heterosexual. And clearly, he had no idea what line of work his “travel assistant” was in. He claimed, in fact, that he didn’t know until halfway through their 10-day trip.
After all, Reker found him on Rentboy.com, a website for male prostitutes.
The Miami New Times interviewed the young man, whom they are calling “Lucien”. Lucien makes it clear that he only advertises on rentboy.com, not any other websites or services.
The New Times looked over Lucien’s profile.
The pictures on the Rentboy.com profile show a shirtless young man with delicate features, guileless eyes, and sun-kissed, hairless skin. The profile touts his “smooth, sweet, tight ass” and “perfectly built 8 inch cock (uncut)” and explains he is “sensual,” “wild,” and “up for anything” — as long you ask first. And as long as you pay.
The New Times further notes:
Neither Google nor any other search engine picks up individual Rentboy.com profiles, any more than they pick up individual profiles on eHarmony or Match.com. You cannot just happen upon one.
Neither Lucien nor Rekers denies having met via Rentboy.com. So, one must wonder why a man who has made a career out of condeming homosexuals was looking for a “travel assistant” on a website which “features homepage images of men in bondage and grainy videos of crotch-rubbing twinks.”
