"ChristianChirp": Twitter for Self-Segregating Christians!

Sick and tired of solicitations on Twitter for gay romance sites, the quite obviously not-gay James Paris has founded ChristianChirp.com, a Twitter knockoff for Christians only. But is it really just to drive traffic to his “make Internet millions” courses?

Paris also complains that his sarcastic article pretending to support the NFL banning Rush Limbaugh from owning NFL teams upset liberals who thought it was serious, resulting in the temporary suspension of his Twitter account.

Paris became enraged by this and decided to start his own knock-off of Twitter. He calls it ChristianChirp.

I joined to test it out. My Chirp name is JennyD. You should follow me.

The site is easy to navigate. You just need an email address to register. Setup has four short steps, and you may set it up to work with AIM, MSN, ICQ, GTalk/Jabber, or Yahoo Messenger.

It still has some minor bugs; I tried to set up with AIM, and it told me to “add to your contacts” . . . but not WHAT to add to my contacts.

You can supply your password and import contacts from a variety of email services . . . or you can send email invites manually from within the system. I’m not big on trusting security of startup sites with my email passwords, so chose the latter.

christianchirplogoSending “chirps” via the site seems to work just fine. You Follow someone by Friending him or her (not by doing what the help page says . . .).

Groups are available on the site. The very first group set up? “How to Make Money Online As a Christian”. Huh?

Seems Mr. James Paris makes his money with websites christianinternetincome.com and christianmoney.com. Via these sites, you too can learn how to “Make money on Twitter” for only $159!

Truly, a Godly bargain. Or maybe an affinity scam.

This could be a powerful witnessing tool, friends. Imagine the people you can reach! All the supermarket Christians who ignore half of the Bible so they can believe in a “feelgood” god . . . the Pascal’s Wager proponents who ignore all those other gods you might be pissing off by following theirs your whole life . . .

We expect that ChristianChirp.com will be nearly as popular as DiggChrist.com, which draws an average of 15 new posted links daily . . . from spambots.

What do you think?
