Alpha and Omega, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Kids for Christ, and Teens for Christ. Faith-based organizations are flourishing among students at Fort Gibson schools. At a time when so many people in our nation are trying to squelch Christianity and any public mention of God, it is very encouraging to see pockets of dedicated Jesus followers refusing to take their eyes off the prize. Fort Gibson Schools is one of those places.
Christian Victory! Dramatic Increase in Support for Teaching Scientific Evidence about Intelligent Design

In a Zogby poll this week, 78% of respondents asked whether science teachers should teach evolution only, or evolution and intelligent design, declared their support for teaching intelligent design. This is up from a mere 69% in 2006.
Even better news was the percentage of 18-24 year olds who supported teaching “evolution only” . . . 0%!
Christian Horror! US Air Force Bans Religion

New religion guidelines issued by the U.S. Air Force warn commanders against promoting any particular religious faith in official capacity, at events, proceedings or sports events.
According to The New York Times, the new rules serve as a cautionary reminder to commanders to abstain even from discussing or promoting “the idea of religion over nonreligion” at any Air Force-related events . . .
Christian Victory! Thousands sign petitions to allow Virginia state patrol chaplains to pray “in Jesus’ Name”!

Thousands of petition signatures are being delivered to Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine from citizens asking him to support legislation that would provide state patrol chaplains the right to pray as their conscience dictates.
“To put a limitation on prayer is an outrage!” wrote one petition signer. “This country was founded on Christian principles and to ban certain aspects of prayer is a disgrace.”

It was May 1997 when Campus Crusade for Christ first approached the director of the Church of the Nazarene’s World Mission Department about partnering with them to show the Jesus Film to lost people around the world.
Since then, 9,018,540 individuals have made decisions for Christ through the ministry teams of Jesus Film Harvest Partners (JFHP), the ministry established by the denomination’s World Mission Department under the direction of department director Dr. Louie Bustle.
Christian Horror! University of Calgary Bans Pro-Life Student Group, Charges Them with Trespassing!

After a ten-minute hearing Tuesday, the University of Calgary’s Students’ Union voted to de-sanction the school’s pro-life club, thereby barring the club from using campus facilities or receiving SU funding.
The hearing followed the refusal of the pro-life group to hide a Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) pro-life display on the campus in November, when ordered to do so by the University’s administration. The club has erected the display, which shows images of abortion victims alongside other genocide victims, without incident several times in the past.
Christian Horror! Anti-Vaccination Family Grilled Over “Religious Sincerity”!

Ron and Rita Palma of Bayport, New York, have been fighting for the right to opt their children out of the vaccines that public schools require children have before attending school. Parents are allowed to opt out of the medical requirement if they cite objections on religious grounds . . .
Palma says she and her husband were grilled for two hours by the school’s attorney, David Cohen. She refers to the session as a “sincerity interview.” Following is an excerpt from that meeting:
Cohen: “If you believe God is on your side, does that mean he’s not on the side or can he be on the side of somebody who believes in immunization?”
