Fight Freedom of Choice Act!

President-Elect Obama promised to sign the Freedom of Choice Act as soon as he’s in office. Tell him what you really think!

We’ve previously shown you reasons why Christians should (and should not) support abortion.

Here, we see Obama promising to sign FOCA as President:

Obama Pledging to Sign FOCA

But what is FOCA?

The Freedom of Choice Act is a monstrous bill which will remove all semblance of choice when it comes to abortion. It will eliminate all options by state lawmakers and their populations to restrict abortion in their own states! Meanwhile, your choice as a taxpayer to not fund abortions will also be annihilated! FOCA will force church-run hospitals which accept federal funds to provide abortions, removing their choice in the matter as well! It seems the only people who gain a choice as a result of this “Freedom of Choice Act” are pregnant women!

FOCA is a terrifying power grab, taking all reproductive choice out of the hands of parents, and husbands, and prospective fathers, and lawmakers, and putting it directly in the hands of women too irresponsible to keep themselves from getting pregnant in the first place. How can they be trusted to make such a complicated and life-altering decision as this? Is it fair to ask them to decide whether infanticide is “right for them”?

NO! That’s why women have husbands, and fathers, and lawmakers!

At www.fightfoca.com, you can join over 390,000 signatories (at press time) on their online petition. We urge you to take action, and save America’s women from having this heinous Act forced upon them!

The petition reads:

Fight FOCA Petition

I oppose the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), because:

  • FOCA is a radical attempt to enshrine abortion-on-demand into American law;
  • FOCA seeks to sweep aside existing, protective laws that I and the majority of Americans support;
  • FOCA will prevent states from enacting protective measures in the future.

The FightFOCA petition will be sent to key Members of Congress upon the re-introduction of the Freedom of Choice Act in the 111th Congress, and to President-Elect Obama.

NARAL is supporting FOCA. What does that tell you?

  1. *Sigh*

Why won’t these women realize that a zygote’s opinion on its own life is ultimately more important than their own? They keep saying they’re their bodies, but if you lease your uterus to a fetus, you can’t terminate it until the lease expires. It’s basic property law!

    Misogyny rating: 7/10 (Good)

    • Frodo, reading your comment leaves me . . . well, embarassed.

We looked at God’s opinion (technically, the only one that matters).

We also brought up other important folks who should be consulted on the matter of infanticide, like the prospective baby daddy, and the woman’s parents, and the lawmakers in her state.

We completely forgot the need to ask the embryo its thoughts on whether it would “choose life” or not.

      What were we thinking?

Thanks for pointing out our oversight!

  2. awww. now that’s just precious. i guess bristol is on of those idiot women too stupid to not get pregnant.

    • Your vicious comment has been recorded and forwarded to the Palin 2012 Committee.

Expect a knock on your door when you least expect it.

      • And your threat has been forwarded to homeland security.

        • The threat of forwarding your vicious insult to Sarah Palin’s people?

You silly man. You make Jenny laugh. HA, HA. Jenny laugh at you.
          :D

  3. I’m glad I make you laugh. Even though you talk like Tarzan. My threat held as much water as yours does. Actually, mine holds a bit more water. Your site and your views are quite radical. You want a theocracy. Just like Iran. Sweet. We both know that it’s never going to happen, but it’s fun to play make believe.

Oh. By the way. I really meant to say that Bristol was too irresponsible to not get pregnant. And after reading your post over, I guess we could say that Sarah was kind of irresponsible for not paying more attention to what her daughter was doing.

  4. Doc, we share some of your sentiments about Little Miss Loose Morals.

Paliban Mom commented on the subject almost a month ago. Check out: http://www.paliban.org/2008/12/29/hellbound-palin-bastard-born/

  5. And if the woman is RAPED? Honestly, the pros outweigh the cons.
    heres a list:

    Rape
A100% chance of the child dying stillborn
If the mother tests positive for being allergic to her baby (yes it happens)

Didn’t Palin ever teach her daughter about the RISKS of teenage pregnancy?

    • There’s a 100% chance of the child of a rape dying stillborn?

Can you please show a reference for this statistic?

      • Not necessarily from rape, but there are some instances in which a mother is allergic to her amniotic fluid. This can result in the death of BOTH mother AND child. It can happen if she is raped OR if she WILLINGLY wanted a child.

  6. Women shouldn’t be asked to decide on infanticide because “That’s why women have husbands, and fathers, and lawmakers!”

Is this a real website or is it satire like ‘The Onion?’ It’s difficlt to tell these days.

  7. I agree with Flotsam,. Maybe the best thing that can government do is to republish another law which will put more focus on this, right..
